planning and program development has been happening for over
six years. We have arranged with the local community catering
committee to provide evening meals on site. This helps make
your stay even more relaxing when you can leave the cooking
to others, before the evening entertainment commences. We will
also be entertained on two nights, with items provided by various
club members. The members of 67 clubs will attend the 14th
National Caravan Clubs Rally.
The Elmore and District population is looking forward to
welcoming all club members to our rally. They are determined
to make sure that we all leave with many happy memories and
experiences from our stay.
We appeal to all caravanners to join their local caravan
club to maximise the use of their van, and join with like-minded
travellers for fun and fellowship.
If any caravan club member or interested caravanner
would like more details, they should contact

Caravan Clubs in Victoria are looking forward to welcoming over 1,000
caravan club members from all over Australia and New Zealand to the Elmore
Events Centre site in December 2010. The site is midway between Bendigo
and Echuca, and is very suitable for more than 500 recreational vehicles,
including caravans, motorhomes and fifth wheelers.
These rallies have been held every three years since 1970 in
all Australian states and the ACT. The last rally in Victoria
was in 1995/96 at Horsham. We will have more than 200
members who will be attending their first National Rally – this is
exciting, as it provides the opportunity to meet club members
from all states, the ACT, and New Zealand. Many lasting
friendships have been developed through people attending these
rallies. They also provide a chance to catch up with these friends
when travelling around this great country. All caravan club
members are made very welcome when visiting other states.
The program commences on 30th December 2010,
continuing for 11 nights (12 days), and includes a full program
of day and evening activities. There will be seminars, (including
computer training sessions, mobile phone and GPS courses),
craft workshops, coach tours, disc bowls, tennis, lawn bowls,
and golf, followed by entertainment every evening. During the
rally, a full program of activities for children has been organised
and will include a special coach tour together with on-site
get-togethers. A huge New Year’s Eve is planned; celebrations
starting with New Zealand and finishing with Western Australia –
it’s sure to be a long, fun night!
The rally’s major sponsor is Jayco Caravans, and the rally is
supported by the City of Greater Bendigo, Shire of Campaspe,
Hayman Reese, Regional Development Victoria and Family
Parks. We will be able to showcase the region and the state
of Victoria to all of our visitors, who will be provided with
accurate information regarding places to visit before, during
and after the rally.
The committee is working very hard to ensure that all of
those attending have a very pleasant stay in central Victoria. The
venue has plenty of power for air-conditioners, and full Next G
coverage for phones and computers. All sites are large (8m x
12m) to allow plenty of breeze, should we have some warm
days, and there are even some ponds available for a cool dip.
The recent rains have given our site a full coverage of grass.
Elmore Events Centre is a great venue with many permanent
facilities, including a permanent amenities building with two full
special needs units for members. All toilets on site are connected
to the town sewerage system, which has allowed us to provide
great portable showers together with the permanent shower
At this time we are planning to welcome 500 vans, fifth
wheelers, and motorhomes to Elmore. The committee is finalising
the detailed planning for the program and site logistics. This
